- What is a synthetic survey / synthetic respondent?
- A synthetic respondent is an AI persona grounded in public census and statistics. A synthetic survey simulates how such personas might answer, giving a fast exploratory signal — not a measurement of real people.
- Is this a replacement for a real survey or panel?
- No. Million Answers is for pre-research exploration. Its outputs are model-based estimates, not fieldwork, and should not replace a representative survey or panel.
- How is accuracy handled?
- We treat outputs as estimates with uncertainty rather than guarantees. Our aim is to surface uncertainty ranges and validation; we do not claim guaranteed accuracy.
- What is MRP, the real-response feature?
- MRP (multilevel regression and post-stratification) combines a small number of real responses with the synthetic pool to produce adjusted estimates. It is available on the paid plans; real-response collection is ordered per survey.
- Whose data grounds the personas?
- Currently Korean census and statistics (Statistics Korea / SGIS). Other regions may follow; we do not claim coverage we do not yet have.
